Grab a skein of stunning variegated sock yarn and a skein of contrast yarn and create your own colour me beautiful mitts and maybe even a matching colour me beautiful hat.
They are suitable for a confident beginner upwards as the pattern section is jog-less stripes The recommended cast on is the Italian tubular cast on and the bind off is the tubular sewn bind off (photo tutorial) but you can just do a simple cast on and bind off of your choice.

These mitts require just 25g of each colour of sock weight yarn. I made mine in Malabrigo Mechita Pale Morn and Aniversario, but you can use any standard sock yarn!
