Twinkle lights and holiday nights, that’s what makes the season bright!
This is a companion project for the Churchill Avenue Hat and Mittens. Designed as a childhood memory of snow streets with holiday lights as I grew up on a street in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where entire neighborhoods were decorated for the month of December for families to bundle up with hot chocolate in the car and slowly drive around Reindeer Lane, Lollipop Lane, Santa Claus Court and Candy Cane Lane. Car headlights were turned off; windows were cracked and one home played holiday music on an old crackly speaker.
This bag is knit first as a flat bottom rectangle in garter stitch and then picked up around to knit the sides to the drawstring double knit top casing. I highly recommend matching the weight of your yarn to the pattern yarn weight that is recommended.
