Inspired by Frank Gehry’s scale-like fish sculpture in Barcelona, Catalonia Cardigan uses knitting in the row below to create a fabric that mimics the steel structure. The yarn crosses gently between rows to re-create the look of the intersecting lines of Gehry’s art, in a fabric that stretches and moves with you.
Body is worked flat in one piece from the bottom up, divided at the armholes and joined at the shoulders with three-needle bind off. Sleeves are worked by picking up stitches around the armhole, shaped with short rows, then worked in the round to the cuff.
