Big Love’ is a versatile, square crochet blanket pattern which can be made in almost any yarn (seen here in double knit) and a variety of sizes.
Whilst the pattern is not overly complex, it uses techniques that you may not have seen before. It uses linked treble crochet (UK linked double treble) throughout. There is a link to a stand alone tutorial for the linked treble stitch and a longer video tutorial which takes you through working the first few rounds.
The sample you see here was worked with a 5mm hook and used approximately 1120m / 1230yds, 400g of Scheepjes Softfun.
This pattern is not designed as a ‘baby blanket’ and is not intended for use as such - babies and infants should not be left unattended with it.

- The blanket can be worked with most yarn weights. Use a hook a couple of sizes up from the suggested size to get a good drape.
