Product Details
I created this braid while on a trip to Berlin. While travelling there I was wondering how I could crochet a French braid. In Berlin I tried it out — and when I came across this turquoise yarn with bright specks at a trade fair, it all fell into place.
The wrist warmers are crocheted in slip stitches. The braid is a variation on the horizontal cable technique I invented. It can be used as the thumb opening.
The 18 pages pattern includes written instructions and step-by-step picture tutorials for
- front loop only slip stitch (F)
 - back loop only slip stitch (B)
 - inverse back loop only slip stitch (iB)
 - seven-stranded horizontal French braid (with lots of step by step photos)
 - an invisible seam.

The pattern is available in English (18 pages) and German (18 pages). All stitches and techniques used are explained extensively in the pattern.
