Product Details
Arrows hat (with the pairing mitts) was inspired by a piece on a school wall near my new house. It represents a lot of arrow pointing to the center from different starting point, using an explosion of different colors. The marlisle technique used for the piece gives an interesting result, so similar to some raw drawing on the walls, when the paint is already fading, but the shapes are still visible.
This slightly slouchy hat is worked in the round from the bottom up, starting from the brim worked in striped garter stitch with yarn held double. The rest of the hat is worked using the marlisle technique with a dynamic pattern showing two direction arrows.
