Product Details
This two-color, asymmetrical triangular shawl features an elegant all-over geometric pattern created through Mosaic Knitting. Worked flat in garter stitch, it uses only one color at a time with increases worked along one edge to shape the shawl. When selecting colors for Mosaic Knitting, it is best to choose high-contrast combinations to make the geometric pattern stand out.
Techniques: Knitting, Increases (kfb), slipping stitches, long tail cast on, bind off.
Gauge: 22 sts & 16 rows= 4” {10cm} measured after blocking, knitted flat in garter stitch.
Material: 295 yds {270m} of Color A and 336 yds {308m} of Color B.
Yarn used for sample: Lamana COMO (131yds/25g) (120m/25g).
Fiber content: 100% Wool-Merino. The sample is shown in the colors 00 (white) and 01 (black). Or
other DK weight yarn.
Mosaic knitting creates a dense fabric. Better choose a softer yarn.
