Product Details
Knit a wardrobe of lingerie and accessories for a full bodied 18" doll, including American Girl.
The pattern features instructions for panties and drawers (with several leg finishes), a chemise, liberty bodice, full slip, dropped waist slip, half slips, PLUS stockinette, cable or lace socks and matching drawstring handbags. The chemise and full slips button at the shoulders to help protect the doll's hairstyle. The garments in the photos are knit in white yarn, but you can use colored yarns for daytime outfits.
The samples are knit in 5/2 Silk City Perle Cotton, though you can substitute a yarn that will give you 7 stitches (and about 10 rows) per inch or 10 cm.
The patterns are written for straight needles. The basic stitches are familiar to knitters. The biggest difficulty for some may be knitting on small size needles with fine yarn, but finer yarns allow greater detail in the finished garments.
