For experienced miniature crochet workers. This is not a suitable project for a beginner to miniature crochet due to the tiny hook size used.
Materials required: 0.40 mm crochet hook, No 80 crochet cotton or No 70 tatting thread in three contrasting colours - approximately half a 5 g ball of main colour (white), ¼ ball second contrast (green) and small amount of third contrast (red) colours. A larger hook can be used to produce larger motifs, but remember to allow extra yarn. Finished size: approx 4-inches/10 cm square.
Gauge – Rounds 1-2 on octagon measures approx ½-inch/1.25 cm. Octagons measure approx ¾-inch/2 cm across, squares measure approx ⅜-inch/1 cm across before edging.
