    About

    I love the fabulous blue whale Mary knitted for her grandson so, when I was deciding what to make Torsten for Christmas, I thought it would be just right to go with the Julia Donaldson book. As it has to go to Sweden I had to scale it down in size. The snail is a pattern by Amanda Berry. Thank you for the inspiration, Mary!

    Notes: I adjusted the tail to match the illustrations in the book and used yarn for eyes to make it safe.

      Two lovely sea creatures Sue. I have knit a whale or at least a dolphin but I have never made a snail and he looks so cute I can understand why children like them.

      Oh I'm disappointed with this one Sue, why aren't the whale and snail made to scale, I know you could do it.lol.😉😂😂😂Both toys are perfect, I love the white stripes on the whale and how cute are both snails. I have to confess I have never heard of this book but it's sounds great.😊😊💕

      What a gorgeous Xmas present for Torsten Sue! 😍 (This is one of George's favourite stories too). You have the lovely stripes on your whale too ... no idea what I did wrong but I just couldn't get them to knit up together 🤔 My inspiration for the whale came from Heather G, it's a lovely community here in that way ☺️
