    About

This is a new pattern from Little Cotton Rabbits, so just had to have a go. As usual this is a clever pattern, which has lots of detail. I did have a bit of bother with the tail, but think I over stuffed it at first! Love the 3 jumper designs this pattern has, so will certainly have another go. Thought he could go along with the other little animals for the Summer fete at the care home to see if he could temp someone to take him home!

Thanks Christine. Another great pattern. I knitted in the acorn pattern in to the jumper as I really struggle with swiss darning, but it seemed to work out ok.

I can see you enjoyed trying out your new pattern. I keep calling him โ€˜squirrel Nutkinโ€™ in my head as you have made such lovely work shaping the squirrels head and ears finishing with his bold โ€˜ acornโ€™ jumper you will have lots more fun by sounds of it with 2 more style jumpers, a nice generous pattern lovely work Valerie ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜

Thanks Maria - I did enjoy making a new animal. I am always amazed how Julie manages to design patterns that actually look like the animal. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

@Valerie S: yes I couldnโ€™t believe it when I made my first rabbit, how Julie captures the image of her animals and passes it on for us to capture too. Then the fun part dressing them in our chosen colours and attire ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅฐ

I always think that all the LCR patterns are so clever with just a few tweaks for a different animal - would certainly recommend knitting one! ๐Ÿ˜

I couldn't resist getting the pattern and then of course had to buy some more wool, so I will never get through the stash I already have! I shall look forward to seeing your little creation!
