    About

    When I saw this yarn on sale I couldn't resist making yet another Baby Emily cardigan - this is my go-to pattern which has never turned out badly, no matter which yarn I've knitted it in, and it's a garment which never fails to be gratefully received.

    It was the first time that I have used this yarn and I think it's really lovely. I read reviews which said there were lots of knots in it, but I didn't have a single one and I found it an easy yarn to work with, producing an even, spuerbly cuddly finished fabric.
    I can't wait to see who ends up wearing this on, but in the meantime I've already cast on another one in Rose - according to my calculations I'm going to be able to get the third pattern size out of just three balls of yarn!

      Hi - this pattern is lovely but need to know is it seemed as I only work on straights? 😊

        Yes, it is seamed. Worked in pieces and then the sleeves picked up and knitted downwards to the cuffs. The pattern has instructions for working the sleeve cuff in the round or flat and then seamed if preferred.

      Lovely pattern. I have bought it but haven’t knitted it yet. I have to remember to buy 3.5 mm needles, as all other DK patterns I have knitted use 4.0 mm.

        The main body is worked on 3.75mm needles, but it's worth working a test swatch using 4mm needles - you may get the right tension without having to buy another pair of needles!
