Product details

Interplay is a top-down, striped, crescent shaped shawl, named for the interplay it creates between knitter and pattern: this is a 'choose your own adventure' knit!

  • Like stripes? Or not?
  • Want bands of lace, or do you prefer to save the lace for the edging?
  • Like an all-over-lace option?
  • Choose between a little ruffle edging, and open eyelets.

This is a pattern to play with!

It gives the knitter complete choice in size and placement of lace, including extending the lace or repeated alternations with the stockinette section.

It is designed to showcase variegated or handspun yarns by alternating stripes - either against itself from a centre-pull ball, or by using a contrasting colour - creating an intriguing interplay between colours.

Can be worked entirely from written pattern, or charts with notes.

Adaptable to a range of yarn weights and yardages.
