I bought this for socks for a friend. I was able to get the school colors and the socks are knitting up soft and beautiful. Delivery was faster than I was told which was nice.
The yarn thickness varied between the different colors I bought. The white was noticeably smaller. The yarn is also very “splitty” and annoying to knit with. It was like the individual plies had NO twist! I returned the yarn that I was going to knit with and kept the yarn I had bought for a weaving project because I had already opened the skeins, but it is not turning out well for that purpose either. Again, loosely spun so 1 ply will randomly stick up and look a little like a snag. Lastly, my skeins were made in India, and suspecting it would be a problem I pre washed all the dark colors I got and they all did bleed so I would recommend prewashing all the dark colors before you knit. I LOVED the cascade 220 I used 7 years ago for a knitted blanket project. I see that Cascade 220 also comes in a ********* so I may try that next time.
I’ve knitted a vintage summer top in cascade heritage and am very pleased with the finished result.
colour and quality as expected. knits up well, slightly fluffy but very soft.👍 Have used before in a different colour and would use again.
The yarn knits up well. I found no knots when I wound it up and it feels nice and makes for a lovely soft fabric. It also seems to be colorfast.
Beautiful wool, very soft, colours gorgeous. Bonus for me,it is machine washable and tumble dryable.
I have been a fan of Heritage for many years. It wears well, does not itch and is sturdy for 4-ply socks. No holes after the first couple of wears. This price was good and the transaction was excellent all round.
