Golden Hour Cardi

Cast on a super-quick cardigan that’ll give you a cosy winter glow from morning until night. Golden Hour Cardigan is a long, easy-to-wear layer worked from the bottom up with almost no seaming. Super bulky yarn makes it a fast and satisfying knit, while wide bands of garter and stockinette create a simple texture inspired by the warm, shifting light at the end of the day.

Originally designed for Simply Knitting Magazine's Christmas issue in 2024, this is an easy and quick pattern.

CONSTRUCTION:

The cardigan is knitted from the bottom up. Stitches are cast on for both fronts and the back, which are worked seamlessly. The shoulders are joined using a three-needle bind off. Stitches are then picked up for the sleeves, which are worked in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up for the collar, which is worked flat.
