Summer Sun Hat with Flowers for Girls and Ladies This pattern includes the option for a short brim with a wide cuff, a wide brim with short cuff, a hat without any cuff which will give a slight floppy brim. The floppy can be worn folded up with a flower embellishment. Instructions for 2 flowers included, the primula and loopy flower, as well as Leaves and a Bow with or without ties. Make a garland of flowers and leaves and you have a wonderful hat for a wedding or for Easter. Stitches need to be on the tighter side.
This hat was made with Medium Worsted Weight Cotton yarn, Aran Weight for Britain 10 ply for Australia and requires a 4 mm crochet hook. Mostly SC [ Double Crochet for Britain ]. Quite simple to make. If you have made a hat in the round before, you will be able to make this hat easily.
Suggested yarns include Bernat Handicrafter Cotton or Lily Sugar and Cream. Hat can also be made in wool or acrylic for winter.
