There are many myths associated with the plant. It was believed that growing it around a door would warm summer evenings, and autumn berries provide not only colour but food for native birds. ward off evil spirits and bring good luck. The scent was also thought to induce dreams of an amorous nature!

This top down triangular shawl, with its winding stems and compact leaves surrounded by clusters of berries, features a variety of stitches to make the knitting interesting but intuitive once the pattern is established.

Gauge is not important but will affect the finished size and yardage required. Instructions for working more or fewer repeats are included.
