NOTE: The lace portion of this pattern is currently ONLY available in chart form. You will have to be able to use a chart in order to knit this pattern.I may release a written-instruction version later, but for now, it is chart-only.

I love it when I can get a fancy, lacy look with only a few rows of effort! The majority of this shawlette is a relaxing stockinette knit with a few yarn over thrown in. Work the charts at the end, et voila! Pretty and girly and frilly, oh my. You can easily substitute pretty much any sock yarn you like, or, since it’s knit at a loose gauge to promote drape, even something a little heavier (though if you can get your hands on some Hazel Knits, I recommend it!) This shawl is an unusual squared-off crescent shape and lends itself to being worn a bit like a capelet.

On a personal note, I’ve decided, after being painfully reminded of just how expensive veterinary care is, and finding out how insane and largely useless pet insurance seems to be, that this shawl will be my pet insurance - All the proceeds will be put in a special savings account just for poochy medical needs.

Sample is shown in Hazel Knits Artisan Sock. A suggested substitute is shown below.
