To make the blanket I used 15mm needles on a 150cm wire and a crochet size 12mm. You can use any thickness of needles and a smaller size of crochet, it is important that they match the information on the yarn you choose.

Gauge 10cm x 10cm/4 x 4" worked gather stitch with needles size 15mm/US 19, blocked is 6 sts x 10 rows. Make a gauge with yarn of your choice, then block it and calculate the yarn requirement by this swatch.

The yarn I used is The Wool from We Are Knitters, but you can use a different yarn, important to match the yarn and wires correctly. For my daughter's blanket I used less than 7 skeins (200g each) and obtained a blanket measuring 100x100 cm. If you decide on another yarn, it is best to calculate the amount based on the sample swatch and dimensions you want to get. The best looks a blanket with a shape close to a square.
