Détails du produit

The Beamish Cardigan is a vintage-style raglan cardigan with colour work reminiscent of the fifties. It will appeal especially to knitters who prefer to work in rows. The colour work is remarkably easy, consisting of a repeat of just 4 stitches. This means that there is no need to carry floats on the back and it helps to maintain a more even tension. The written instructions include a chart and are given for aooroximate ages 1 - 11 years, chest 20 to 30 inches. I used Willow and Lark Ramble. a soft pure wool, but you could substitute any good yarn with the same gauge. Only small amounts, less than 50g, of each the three contrast colours are required.

Beamish, where some of the photos wer taken, is an award winning museum in the north of England where you can have your hair put into a roll at the fifties hair dresser's and learn to knit "down at the social"
