Stress free stripes blanket

This is really simple pattern which is perfect for beginners, but also for any Crocheter in search of a striking striped blanket pattern which is not too complicated or fussy. The rows are super easy; there’s no need for counting or too much concentration, which is why I have named the pattern ‘Stress-free Stripes’.

The design consists of wide coloured stripes worked in the lovely texture of ‘Lemon Peel’ stitch, which are divided by narrower stripes in a neutral colour which are worked in ‘V-stitch’.

Uses DK yarn & 4mm hook

The pattern is for a throw sized blanket measuring 101cm x 122cm / 39.75 x 48 inches, but the pattern can also be customised to make a smaller blanket for a baby. There is information included in the instructions on how to adapt the size of the starting chain.

If making the full sized blanket, and following the same colour sequence, you will need x3 balls of the main/neutral colour yarn, plus one ball of each of the 8 colours.
