These mittens feature an unusual cable pattern that decorates the back of the hand. The mittens are crocheted entirely in slip stitches, using the back loop only slip stitch. The cable pattern is symmetical for the left hand and the right hand. The cable is worked horizontally - a technique that I invented and modified for these mittens.
The pattern includes written instructions and step-by-step picture tutorials for
the back loop only slip stitch (B)
color changes
short rows (for the thumb)
horizontal cables (with lots of pictures on how to make sorted cables - they are way easier to make than they look)
an invisible seam.
