The sock monkey has been adored for many years and never seems to lose its appeal. I have created this sock monkey knitting pattern for all knitters to be able to enjoy making this perennial favorite toy for their families and friends. You can go for the traditional sock monkey colors, or use your creative flair to make a completely unique-looking sock monkey.
The sock monkey is quick to make and is worked on two needles, so there is no fiddly knitting on the round required. The yarn used is light worsted (double knitting/8 ply). The finished monkey measures approximately 14 and a half inches (37 cm) from the top of the head to the tip of the toes.
Since creating the sample sock monkeys for this pattern I have been inundated with requests for me to make more, so get your knitting needles ready and be prepared for lots of orders too!
