Snowman snow globe

While this small snowman was designed to fit in a clear plastic ball ornament to look like a snow globe, it could contribute to your Christmas decorations in many ways: inside the transparent shell as a round ornament hanging from the tree; without the globe, using the upside down bowl as a platform; or as a standing or hanging ornament on its own without the white base.

This pattern is suitable for intermediate level crocheters who are confident with basic stitches and frequently used amigurumi techniques (ch, sl st, sc, hdc, invisible decrease, magic ring, working in BLO/FLO). The two-color design on the snow globe stand is created with spike stitches (which are just fancy single crochet) - it is much simpler than it looks, and requires no color changes within the round.

The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology (UK/Aus equivalents provided). It contains many in-progress photos, but also includes a text-only appendix for easy printing.
