Tulip bulbs are planted each autumn with the anticipation they will bloom later and bring about the first sign of spring. Inspired by traditional folkloric design and European floral patterns, this scarf includes an element of embroidery to add a three dimensional texture to the smooth surface. Knit in the round and finished off with a wild fringe, this colourful and highly patterned scarf is full of energy and warmth for the autumn to come. Selsey was originally published in Pom Pom Quarterly's Issue 10.
Note: Selsey is knit in two colourwork sections, then grafted together at the middle for a seamless finish. The cowl version is not included in this pattern. However, the alterations are available for free. Please visit Pom Pom Quarterly's blog post, Selsey Cowl.
