These cute birdies would look great hanging on your tree at Christmas or around your home at any time of the year, replace the toy stuffing with lavender to naturally freshen cupboards. The baubles are quick to knit. Change the yarn weight to change their size, tension/ gauge is not an issue! I used DK yarn from my stash (100% wool or wool/acrylic mix) and US3/3.25mm needles. No more than 10g of DK yarn is required for each birdie. Three colours for each birdie - main colour, breast colour and a third colour for the beak. I used two black beads for the eyes/eye pupils, however duplicate stitch with black yarn could be used instead.
