Bottom of cozy is crocheted; body of the cozy is knit on double pointed needles.
Pattern calls for aran or worsted weight yarn, as well as a J/10 crochet hook (6.00 mm) and a set of five double pointed knitting needles in US Size 8 (5.00 mm).

This project starts with a small crocheted circle and, from that, the body of the Wine Bottle Cozy grows and works up quickly in a ribbed pattern. The ribbing allows the Wine Bottle Cozy to conform to the curves of the bottle nicely. Eyelet holes are created near the top of the bottle so that an I-cord drawstring can be inserted to gather the Wine Bottle Cozy nicely. A gift card could be added to the drawstring.
