Bootie is designed from the sole up. I have left space on the sides so you can personalize the door area. When giving as gifts, I look up the colors, K9, vehicle number and placements of the emergency lights for the police or sheriff department for that individual. These tiny details will be noticed by the family. I absolutely love the white wall tires! I also have patterns for Firetruck, Ambulance and School Bus booties (sold separately). Needles: US 4 & 5 DP. Some embroidery required for details. Tools: yarn needle, sewing needle, floss, 1 locking stitch marker. I did tires in knit design, they could also be done with embroidery in the same style as the headlights.
