This hat knits up super quick, is easy to make and is ideal as a quick gift. It’s also SUPER warm, so make sure you make one for yourself! It's the ultimate stashbuster - use up any odds and ends of dk yarn you can find!
We’ve included instructions on our favourite way to join in the round and make the pom-pom at the end of this pattern however there are many ways to do this – just use whichever you find easiest, you’ll still end up with a beautiful hat!
We recommend knitting a tension swatch square to check your gauge as knitting with the six strands can be a handful at first. Adjust needle size to obtain gauge.
You will need
- 7mm circular needles (40cm or longer - we use 100cm)
- 8mm circular needles (40cm or longer - we use 100cm)
- 6 balls of DK wool (at least 30g per ball - this is great for scraps!)
- Crochet hook (for weaving in ends, any size)
- Cardboard & scissors (or a pom-pom maker)
