I like to go out with a group of urban sketchers but on my last trip I was struck by the abundant varieties of leaves around us, so I sketched them instead of buildings. To remember that walk I came up with this pair of socks.
The pattern is repeated on front and back of the leg of the sock and on the top of the foot.
The socks are knitted top down with a classic turned heel and toe shaping. The remaining stitches are grafted together using Kitchener Stitch.
Techniques used: k, p, yo, k2tog, ssk, k3tog, sssk, knitting in the round.
Gauge: 36 stitches and 46 rows to 10 cm (4 inches) in stocking stitch knitted in the round.
