Who isn’t fond of two-color hats? Endless combinations of color to express your preference and style, and the warm noggin is worth spending a little time on making your own hat.
Inspired by the shifting plates of ice during rhe freeze and thaw cycles on a wintery lake, the color pattern twists and stacks as it winds about the hat.

To avoid long floats, Lake Ice makes clever use of slip and dip stitches wherever possible. Only one row requires you to catch your floats on the wrong side!
And using bulky yarn, it will take no time at all to make! A rewarding first fair isle project that is sure to impress and turn a few heads!
