Détails du produit

This jacket is inspired by the silver screen glamour of the 1930s. In particular, the style of Joan Crawford. Her character Crystal in the film 'The Women' was very influential; a shop girl with airs above her station and expensive tastes.

I wanted to incorporate a peplum into the design, but didn't want it to taper at the back, in order to keep it short and playful. Another design element I had to include was a bow, to accentuate the slightly raised waistline. Silk is the obvious choice, as it emphasises the soft drape of the full sleeves and peplum, but cotton would also look the part!

Tension: 23sts and 30 rows to measure 10cm measured over stocking stitch using 3.5mm needles.
