This is an homage to old-school video games, which I designed for my friend Rowan. It shows a Space Invaders cannon playing Tetris by firing the blocks down the length of the scarf.
The scarf is mainly plain garter stitch, with areas of intarsia for the blocks and cannon. I chose garter-stitch intarsia to ensure the scarf lies flat and is reversible.
You will need approximately 600 yards of black DK-weight yarn, and 30 yards of each of the 7 colours.
My scarf is 180cm long. Using a different needle size or yarn-weight will alter the size. To shorten or lengthen the scarf, adjust the distance between the falling blocks in the main body of the scarf.
