This hat is meant to represent a bundle of sticks – each of them so tiny and fragile, but in a bundle so strong and unbreakable.
The stitch pattern is given as a chart. You will only have a maximum of 2 colors in one round. There is a video tutorial that shows how to knit in the round with 2 skeins of yarn to show the basic principle of this technique. For our sample, we used 2 colors until the end of the crown. To make the crown decreases easier, you can also use one color in this section.
The piece is designed to fit actual head circumferences from 36 cm / 14’’ to 58 cm/ 23’’. Measurements are given in both cm and inches. We recommend making a swatch with the colorwork to make sure that you like the way the colors play together.
