Nothing is more heartwarming than a handknit garment made with love, and this hooded scarf is designed to please. Knit one for yourself, and several for the special women in your life. One size fits all. (Gift tags to print included.)
The basic pattern (shown in blue) features a hooded scarf with vertical panels of eyelets, lace hearts and stockinette. Some knitters work best from written instructions, others like charts. Both are included for the basic pattern.
Three heart variations are also included, shown in pink, coral and black. These require knitters to refer to the basic written pattern, but charts for each are also included.
This scarf can be knit in several yarn weights, from Super Fine #1 (Fingering), to Fine #2 (Baby), to Light #3 (DK). Fine yarns will produce a light, airy fabric, heavier yarns are best for warmth. The pattern has a side-by-side photo showing the yarns used in the samples.
The required gauge is 5 stitches per inch. Needle size will vary, based on your yarn.
