Folklore has many stories of little people with many different names - brownies, hobs, hobgoblins, Puck. They keep themselves well hidden and can be helpful or mischievous. These creatures exist in fantasy as diminutive folk, about half the size of a human hence the name Halfling, who generally are cheerful and enjoy their food.
Included in this pattern are the details to crochet a male or female Halfling, with various options for the way they look. The pattern is written using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives.
