Détails du produit

The Gherkin is a rather odd London building that isn't actually near where I used to work in Southwark – it's on the other side of the Thames in the Financial District. But it is very visible from many points in the city, including London Bridge. I've been fascinated by the twisting, swirling lines of the building ever since we moved here. These quick-knitting mittens capture the feel of the Gherkin in twisted stitches and cushy, warm, bulky-weight yarn. Just the thing for a last minute gift to protect against cold winter winds! Stitch pattern presented in both written and charted formats. Sample shown was worked in BC Garn Semila Grosso.

Skills needed: casting on, knitting, purling, working twisted stitches, decreasing, working in afterthought thumb (instructions given).
Gauge: 20 sts/28 rows over 4 in/10 cm on larger needles in stockinette.
