The FYN socks are a minimalistic and modern design for every day. This pattern is made for knitters who like to knit fine socks and who are seeking something different from the classic Stockinette Stitch. The design is fun to knit because of the constant change in the stitch pattern. At the same time, this project is very quick to work without spending any extra time on special stitch knitting techniques.
The socks are worked in round from the 1x1 Ribbing cuff to the tow section. The main stitch pattern is made of Shifted 2x2 Ribbing. The heel is shaped with German Short Rows Technique (Boomerang-Heel) and is worked in Stockinette Stitch.
You will need Knitting Techniques such as: *Long Tail Cast On, *Knitting in rounds, *Knitting and purling stitches.
The following Special Knitting Techniques are shown as Tutorials (photo and text) in the pattern: *German Short Rows (Boomerang-Heel), *Knit 2 stitches together with right leaning (k2tog), *Knit 2 stitches together with left leaning (ssk).
