#FlyingCatBlouse is designed for 2 strands of fingering yarn held double (400m/437 yards,100g/ 3.72 oz), which gives DK weight. (200m/218 yards). You can pick DK yarn but then its good to have another fingering yarn for cuffs, neckline and bottom hem.
I recommend variegated or hand-dyed colorful yarns dedicated for summer projects (the blends of cotton,viscose and silk) Obviously you can knit any color #FlyingCatBlouse, just make sure you meet gauge 16sts x 19rows in 10x10cm (4x4")
