Elliewood is an oversized tunic with a big ribbed collar, a kangaroo pocket, and thumbholes in the sleeves. It is knit top-down and seamlessly with a hybrid saddle-raglan construction method that varies increase rates to give a better fit through the shoulders. The pocket is lined with a lighter weight yarn to reduce bulk, and is a fun place to use a contrasting color. A photo tutorial is provided to explain the pocket construction. Modeled sweater is shown with 2-3 inches of positive ease. The pocket lining is worked in sport weight yarn.
The sample is shown in madelinetosh Tosh Chunky in shade Glazed Pecan (body) and madelinetosh Tosh Sport in shade Stovepipe (pocket). Suggested substitutes are shown below.
