The Crickhollow Mitts are made with vertical rows of half double crochet stitches with an intriguing texture. The thumb is worked separately and attached when the side seam is closed using slip stitches. Directions are for sizes Adult Small, Medium and Large, but the mitts could actually be made in any size by following the instructions to fit your hand.
There are two versions of the Mitts in this pattern: the original Crickhollow version, and the Halfling version, in which half the Mitt is made with a different stitch pattern.
