Then the square starts going around the flower creating a square using a version of the granny square.
The Clematis Flower pattern creates a nice and lacy stitch for making afghan or motif squares
The yarn used is #3 lightweight or DK weight yarn to create a lightweight afghan. You only use between 15 and 30 yds in creating this design.
