Détails du produit

An economical and easy knit, this triangular shawl makes good use of 2 adoringly contrasting hanks of fingering weight yarn - or … 1 hank of fingering and 1 hank of lace weight mohair. I actually used 1 hank of fingering purchased from an independent dyer and just over 2 balls (around 320 m) of DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk. Using a mohair or the Alpaca Silk option as your contrast will give you a lighter result. Super soft and snug around the neck!

This item starts small and ends when the desired number of stitches have been reached which makes it easily adaptable size wise. Also relatively quick to knit once you get into the rhythm of it. A great travel project! And a lovely gift knit.

The stitches used are mainly garter and eyelet based. An I Cord edge is knit along one side, simply worked by following the directions as written, and increases are worked on every alternate row, on the opposite side. There is no decreasing. An I Cord bind off is used and simply explained.

This may be knit on either straight needles or a circular needle, hence the reason for both being mentioned in the materials list.
