This is the fourth design in the Celtic Cable Shawls collection.
This top-down semi-circular shawl features a striped body and a richly cabled edging, with stitch patterns inspired by the key spirals commonly found in Celtic and Pictish art. A picot cast-off gives an extra shot of contrasting colour.
Two sizes are given, and the shawl can be blocked to a slight crescent shape, rather than semi-circle, if preferred.
The cables are worked upon a background of reverse garter stitch, so there's a lot of purling!
Skill Level
Intermediate. Skills required include:
* Garter tab beginning
* Basic lace
* Closed-loop cables (tutorial links included in pattern)
* Picot cast-off

Length of neck edge: 43 [56]"/(109 [142] cm)
Depth from neck to lower edge: 15.5 [20]”/(39.5 [51] cm)
