Crochet level – beginner/intermediate.
This pattern is written in American Standard crochet terms. This basket holds its shape really well on its own, however, I chose to put a plastic tub inside it so it could be used to hold smaller items.
It is written so that it can cover any size circular tub or container you have, with or without a handle. You just add or remove rows from the base or sides to make it any size you would like. The basket in the pictures is 9cm (3.5in) in diameter and 8.5cm (3.3in) tall, excluding the handle.
This pattern includes instructions on how to do the bean stitch with lots of pictures.
