Download our PDF knitting pattern to knit this cute baby’s fox hat. Knit it on either circular needles, or using a pair of straight needles.
Using circulars is great fun, and this hat pattern is a great introduction, if you haven’t used them before. To knit the hats, you’ll need 4.5 and 5mm circulars, max 40cms in length, or (dpns if you prefer). If you decide circulars aren’t for you, you’ll need a pair in each of 4.5 and 5mm knitting needles.
We’ve used Drops Big Merino, but any comparable aran weight yarn will do, i.e. Schachenmayr Merino Extra Fine 85, or Sublime Extra Fine Merino. We also used a small amount of DROPS Alpaca Boucle, for the ear fluff. Please note that substitute yarns may produce different results.
This is a multi-size pattern for 0-6; 6-12 and 12-24 months.
