Appledore Sweater

This top-down, seamless knitting pattern has a classic front button opening and raglan shaping. Knitted in stocking stitch with moss stitch/seed stitch edgings, it is knitted from the top down and all bands are worked at the same time. Once you have cast off, apart from weaving in some ends the sweater is finished, no sewing is necessary. Knitting starts flat, back and forth, at the neck edge. The front plackets are worked at the same time and include two buttonholes on the smaller sizes and three on the larger sizes. Once the front opening has been worked, the yoke is joined for knitting in the round and the rest of the sweater is knitted in the round.

Ideal for any DK weight yarn knitted at a tension/gauge of 24 sts x 32 rows per 10cm, in wool / wool mix / acrylic / cotton / cotton mix.
