The first in a new, garden-inspired shawl collection. An alpinarium is a garden that includes plants from the alpine region and in terms of knitting, the alpine region is also known for lovely cable-work.
This heart-shaped shawl is worked "top-down" in one piece and features a combination of lace and cable-work with a lacy, lattice edging. The design is written for a large, high-yardage, skein of sock yarn but includes instructions on how to adjust it for differing yardages. The pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
