Trellis Xtra Cowl

1. An original design by Fiona Langtry for ReVe Design Co

Unique:

1. the special stitches create a thick and “squishy” fabric that is warm and toasty
2. the borders are created with rounds of giant cross stitches
3. make this to whatever size you prefer!

Features:

1. a variation on traditional crochet “cross-stitch” adds to the thickness and texture of the design
2. the look of a garden trellis between the 2 borders
3. the borders are framed by rounds of back loop stitches, to help elevate the design above the ordinary.

Requirements:

1. 140m/155yd DK weight yarn
2. 5mm hook (Optional: 4.5mm hook for 1st round)
3. Tapestry needle for sewing
4. NOTE: Exact gauge is not vital

Special Stitches/Techniques:

1. Cross Stitches
2. Back Loop stitches
3. Post stitches
4. (optional Chainless Starting & Foundation stitches)
