I was first drawn to it because of the silk and wool mix. I originally wanted to pair it with another yarn as an accent, but changed my mind. Now it's an accent to a sweater I'm making out of Valley Yarn Superwash Merino 'Lilac.' The Northfield is softer but they are pretty comparable as far as knitting together goes. I just love the yarn, no splitting and I will for sure be getting it again.
It knits up well although I had expected it to be softer with alpaca silk content. Good range of colours.
